Under the Stars is an exhibition that celebrates Aotearoa’s national holiday, Matariki. This exhibition provides an opportunity to all Rotorua-based artists, whether they are amateurs or professionals, to submit and showcase their artworks centred on the themes of Matariki.
This exhibition will run throughout the month of July and will be held in the Mosaic and Cottage galleries.
Important dates:
Artwork Delivery and Registration: Submissions must be handed in Thursday 22nd, Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th May at the Arts Village Reception within the hours of between 10am to 2pm.
Exhibition Opening Event: Friday 7th June 2025
Exhibition Dates: Friday 7th June – Saturday 5th July 2025
Matariki Celebration Event: Saturday 20th June
In order to submit your artwork, all artists must fill out an entry form. The entry form includes important information including the deadline for submissions, artwork specifications, and the terms and conditions.
We encourage all Rotorua-based artists to take advantage of this opportunity to showcase their artwork and celebrate the spirit of Matariki with our community.
