Under the Stars is an exhibition that celebrates Aotearoa’s national holiday, Matariki. This exhibition provides an opportunity to all Rotorua-based artists, whether they are amateurs or professionals, to submit and showcase their artworks centred on the themes of Matariki.
This exhibition will run throughout the month of July and will be held in the Mosaic and Cottage galleries. We are also hosting an event on Thursday 13th July to celebrate the Matariki holiday!
Important dates:
- Artwork Delivery and Registration: 29th & 30th June 2023 at The Arts Village Reception within opening hours.
- Exhibition Opening Event: Saturday 8th July, 10:30am
- Exhibition Dates: 8th July – 31st July
- Matariki Celebration Event: Thursday 13th July
In order to submit your artwork, all artists must fill out an entry form. The entry form includes important information including the deadline for submissions, artwork specifications, and the terms and conditions.
We encourage all Rotorua-based artists to take advantage of this opportunity to showcase their artwork and celebrate the spirit of Matariki with our community. We can’t wait to see the amazing artworks that will be on display in this exhibition.
